Release Date – Radial Works Media (http://www.radialworksmedia.com) today published A Grave in cloudSpace by Will Weisser, a science-fiction story about a man pursued by a mysterious entity in a cloud-hosted digital afterlife. This is the first e-book released by Radial Works, a new kind of digital publishing group that combines a writers’ workshop with collaborative editing, formatting, and design.

Taking inspiration from Silicon Valley’s tech incubators, Radial Works was formed to address the needs of a new generation of author in a publishing industry undergoing radical change. Radial Works is an e-publishing cooperative, where authors take part in a writers’ workshop to refine their stories, before working with professional editors and designers to produce and distribute an e-book for Kindle readers.

“It just seemed natural for a writing group to evolve into a publishing house considering the state of e-publishing,” said writer and web developer Karl Grave, one of the co-founders of the group. “In the future writers are going to increasingly turn away from large, slow publishing houses to nimble web platforms that can respond and publish in weeks not months or years.”

“The concept of ‘mind uploading’ has been around for a while; my goal for A Grave in cloudSpace was to explore the emotional impact such a procedure could have on those living within the machine,” said Will Weisser.

A Grave in cloudSpace will be available for free through KDP Select until Friday, March 2nd. After that, it will be available on Kindle for $0.99.
